The Rockingham Meeting House (Rockingham VT) was built in the 1790s, completed around 1804, and exists today, very similar to its original form. I was drawn to visit the Meeting House by records of ancestors’ (Sabin) contributions to its original construction, and inspired to carve it in wood, to make this print, by the beautiful simplicity—and grandeur—of the building and its history.
The block for this woodcut print was hand-carved and printed in Washington DC and Hyattsville MD.
